Instructional Models and Maps

Below are two visuals to convey more of the instructional design of UCS. One is the Curriculum Map, which organizes courses, sequences, and varied levels of studies across K-12. The second visual is the Instructional Model of all teaching and learning at UCS. Both visuals display the comprehensive view of instruction across UCS as a school rooted in an authentic place-based education experience for teachers and students.

Above is the K-12 course sequence map at University Charter School. As students build strong foundationals kills in elementary school, students move at more advanced and personalized paces and paths as they enter middle and high school with the goal of building an end-of-high-school experience for students rooted in agency and intentional preparation for postsecondary success.
